KUG

Reconditioned Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI Gearbox – Reference KUG

This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI, a 1968 cm³ diesel engine, reference KUG, is compatible with engine codes CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CUVC and DFGA. Reconditioning a gearbox means it is fully stripped down, cleaned and inspected component by component. Gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced according to the wear found, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before undergoing a bench test.

Signs that your 6-speed manual gearbox needs replacing

On a Tiguan 2.0 TDI fitted with this 6-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: increasingly stiff gear changes, crunching when downshifting, juddering under acceleration, vibrations through the gear lever, difficulty engaging reverse or first gear when cold, or an oil leak from the casing. These symptoms generally indicate advanced internal wear, which makes replacement with a reconditioned KUG gearbox the right solution rather than a one-off repair.

Exchange basis: the solution that keeps you on the road

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis, rebuilt to 0 km. The reconditioned unit is delivered and fitted first; the old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation, so your vehicle is never off the road any longer than necessary. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

Reference KUG covers the 2.0 TDI 1968 cm³ engines associated with engine codes CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CUVC and DFGA on the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
