KVE

Reconditioned Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI Gearbox

This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI, with an engine capacity of 1968 cm³, is listed under reference KVE and is compatible with engines identified by the codes CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CUVC and DFGA. It is a 6-speed manual gearbox, fully restored to deliver smooth, quiet gear changes.

Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the KVE gearbox is completely stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, and internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested on a bench.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a Tiguan fitted with this 6-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs point to internal wear: increasingly stiff gear changes, crunching when downshifting, a gear that refuses to engage or jumps out whilst driving, a dull noise in neutral, vibrations through the gear lever, or metal filings in the gearbox oil during a drain. These symptoms typically indicate worn synchros or bearings and warrant replacement with a rebuilt gearbox before the fault worsens and causes further damage to the drivetrain.

Exchange basis: immediate dispatch, deferred return

This KVE gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched without waiting for the old unit to be returned first. The original casing or block, provided it is intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. Return of the old gearbox is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This KVE gearbox is compatible with 2.0 TDI engines identified by the codes CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CUVC and DFGA, as fitted to the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, with up to 10 instalments available.

EDEN BOITES supports you every step of the way, from your initial quote through to collection of the old unit.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0656/9161/5317/files/boite-vitesse-tiguan-kvc_063a4399-9eb4-4f81-9945-d303abf1d5a5.png?v=1784534886
