PKQ

This gearbox, reference PKQ, has been fully reconditioned to restore smooth, reliable gear changes to your Volkswagen Touran 1.6 TDI (1598 cm³, engine code CAYC). The PKQ reference fits the DSG 7 dual-clutch transmission on this vehicle. Every unit supplied under reference PKQ is completely stripped, cleaned and inspected before any work begins. Worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals are systematically replaced, and the gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested as part of this service. The vehicle's original mechatronic unit must be retained and reused during fitting, along with the new dual-clutch assembly supplied with the gearbox.

Signs that your DSG 7 gearbox needs replacing

Jolts or juddering during gear changes, particularly when cold

Gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard

Slipping or loss of drive felt under acceleration

Unusual noises, grinding or clunking while driving

Limp-home mode engaged, restricting speed

Exchange basis: your vehicle is never off the road

As part of this exchange range, the reconditioned gearbox is delivered and fitted first, before the old unit is collected. Your garage or workshop is therefore never without a gearbox, and the vehicle is not left standing while the old unit is awaited. The old casing, which must be intact, is collected after the PKQ gearbox has been delivered and fitted, and its return is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional.
