Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, and reassembly to manufacturer tolerances before a bench test.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

Stiff or notchy gear changes, particularly when cold

Crunching or grinding when selecting second or third gear

Unusual vibrations through the floor when changing gear

The gear lever jumping out of position or a gear disengaging on its own whilst driving

Visible oil leak from the gearbox casing

Rebuild of your own unit, ready to fit

On this range, the customer sends in their own DRH-referenced gearbox.
