Carrying the reference 31272326, it is designed for the D4162T diesel engine with an engine capacity of 1560 cm³, and takes the form of a 6-speed manual gearbox built to transmit torque efficiently to the driven wheels. The reference 31272326 precisely identifies this type of 6-speed manual unit, well regarded for its robustness on Volvo C30 models fitted with the 1.6 D2 engine.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

Several symptoms should alert any Volvo C30 1.6 D2 driver: crunching or grinding when changing gear, difficulty engaging a gear, juddering or jumping out of gear whilst driving, and unusual noise in neutral. An oil leak from the casing or premature clutch wear can also point to an internal fault within the manual gearbox. Ignoring these warning signs risks a complete transmission failure, which is far more costly to repair than an early gearbox replacement.

Exchange basis: keeping your garage on the road

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis, rebuilt to 0 km.
