A visual check of the turbine shaft's axial and radial play, an inspection of the vane condition, an oil pressure check and an inspection of the boost hose will often confirm the source of the fault before you order the part. An unusual whistling noise under acceleration, a loss of power, blue or black exhaust smoke, or an illuminated engine warning light are all tell-tale signs of turbo failure on this model.

New turbo for the Volvo XC70 – overview

This new turbo is compatible with reference 53039880413, designed for Volvo XC70 models fitted with the 2.0 T5 petrol engine, engine code B4204T11, with an engine capacity of 1969 cm³.
