Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every internal component, replacement of all wear parts including gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test prior to dispatch.

This PKY gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, ensuring the garage is never left without a part and avoiding unnecessary vehicle downtime. The old gearbox – casing and block intact – is only collected once the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is not supplied or included in the sale, is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reconditioned gearbox.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
