Company saloon or quattro SUV: the replacement part is not the same

An A4 covering 80,000 km a year in mixed motorway and urban use puts very different demands on its gearbox compared with a Q5 quattro driven in mountain terrain or a TT used in a sporting manner. The usage context matters just as much as the engine capacity when it comes to identifying the right part: the transmission suited to a city-driven A3 1.6 TDI has nothing in common with that of an A6 3.0 TDI in permanent four-wheel drive, and the turbos on a first-generation 2.0 TFSI differ from those fitted to recent variants of the same engine.

Gearboxes: manual, DSG 6 or DSG 7 depending on the model and era

The collection covers 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes, DSG 6 and DSG 7 units, across model years ranging from 1996 to 2024. The A3 accounts for the largest volume, followed by the A4, the TT and the A1. The classic pitfall with the Audi range: the same model may have been fitted with several different gearbox families depending on the year of manufacture and the power output. On the 2.0 TFSI, for example, engine codes AXX, BPY or BWA correspond to first-generation variants, whilst codes such as CYPA, CYRB or DJHA denote much more recent variants with distinct gearbox architectures. A DSG sold on this page is supplied without the mechatronic unit but with a new dual-clutch assembly.

Turbos and engines: a highly varied range of engine families from the A1 to the Q7

Turbos represent the second largest family by volume, ahead of bare engines. The 2.0 TDI alone encompasses around fifty distinct engine codes — from AZV and BKD to the more recent codes DFBA or DGCA — with turbos that are not interchangeable between generations. The 3.0 TDI, found notably on the A6, Q5 and Q7, covers power outputs from 204 to 286 hp depending on the code, which means each power level requires its own specific turbo. For petrol engines, the classic 1.8 T (codes AEB, AGU, AUQ…) and the 2.0 TFSI found in S3 or TT versions (codes CJXA, CJXB, CJXC for the 306–310 hp variants) call for turbos of very different sizes. Identifying the engine code stamped on the block remains the only reliable way to select the correct part, regardless of the engine family.

    Are reconditioned Audi parts reliable?

Yes. Every Audi part is reconditioned in our workshop, with wear parts replaced, bench-tested and guaranteed for up to 24 months. A reliable and far more affordable alternative to new, starting from a restored original part.

How does the exchange system work for a Audi part?

You order your reconditioned Audi part, we dispatch it, then you send us back your old unit (the core). We arrange all the transport both ways — you don't have to handle any logistics.

Do you deliver Audi parts everywhere, and how quickly?

Yes, we deliver throughout France and Europe. Depending on the availability of the reference, your Audi part leaves our workshop quickly, and you can pay in instalments, up to 10 payments.
