Reconditioned Audi A3 1.4 TFSI S tronic 7 Gearbox – Reference PNB

This reconditioned S tronic 7 gearbox is designed for Audi A3 models fitted with the 1.4 TFSI petrol engine of 1395 cm³, compatible with engine codes CAXC, CMBA and CXSA; it carries the reference PNB. On the A3, this S tronic 7 handles automated dual-clutch gear changes, which is why its operation is particularly sensitive to wear of the internal components. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of any worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs that your S tronic 7 needs replacing

• Juddering or jerking during gear changes, particularly at low speed;
• Slipping felt under acceleration without a corresponding change in engine speed;
• Gearbox warning light on the dashboard, sometimes accompanied by a limp-home mode;
• Difficulty engaging D or S mode, or late gear changes;
• No response when the selector is moved to R, or an abnormal delay before reverse engages;
• Unusual noise or vibration felt even when stationary with the parking mode engaged.

Exchange basis – no vehicle downtime

This PNB gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: it is delivered and fitted first, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is never off the ramp unnecessarily. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and installed; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is neither reconditioned nor tested – it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this PNB reference gearbox.

Compatibility

This reconditioned S tronic 7 gearbox is compatible with Audi A3 models fitted with the 1.4 TFSI engine carrying engine codes CAXC, CMBA or CXSA. It also matches the S tronic 7 gearboxes fitted as standard to this engine variant, ensuring performance in line with the manufacturer's original specifications.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
