This reconditioned S tronic 6 gearbox is designed for the Audi A3 2.0 TDI with a 1968 cm³ engine capacity, compatible with engine codes BKD, AZV, BMM, BMN, CBAB, CFFB, CFGB, CBBB, CRBC, CRFC and CLHA, reference HQL. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and rigorous inspection of every component, followed by replacement of gears, synchros, bearings and seals as required by the wear found. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs that your S tronic gearbox needs replacing

Several warning signs point to a worn S tronic gearbox: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, harsh engagement of limp-home mode, metallic noise during gear changes, or an unusual delay between ratios. On this 2.0 TDI engine, these symptoms may also be accompanied by a noticeable loss of power or vibrations at idle.

Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched before your old one is collected

This HQL gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, without waiting for the return of the old unit. The old gearbox — casing intact — is only collected after delivery and fitting of the reconditioned unit, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and the vehicle's original mechatronic unit should be reused by the customer. However, the dual-clutch assembly is included in this sale and forms part of the components that have been reconditioned and bench-tested.

Warranty and payment
