This reconditioned gearbox for the Citroën Berlingo 1.2 PureTech (1199 cm³), compatible with engine codes HN05 and HNS, is supplied under reference 20XT03. Reconditioning involves fully stripping the gearbox, cleaning and inspecting every component, then replacing any worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The unit is then rebuilt to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs that your 6-speed manual gearbox needs replacing

On a Berlingo fitted with the 1.2 PureTech, several warning signs should not be ignored: increasingly stiff gear changes, a crunching noise when selecting second or fifth, juddering when engaging a gear, a gear jumping out on its own whilst driving, or an unusual metallic noise in neutral. These symptoms point to internal wear that will not resolve itself and will ultimately leave the vehicle off the road.

The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
