Reconditioned Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi Gearbox

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for Ford Transit vans fitted with the 2.2 TDCi engine of 2198 cm³, under reference 6C1R-7002-KC. The reconditioning process follows four stages: complete strip-down of the gearbox, cleaning and inspection of every internal component, replacement of wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, then reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing before dispatch.

Signs that your manual gearbox needs replacing

On a Transit fitted with this 5-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs should alert the driver: stiff or crunching gear changes, a cracking noise when changing down, a gear jumping out on its own at motorway speed, juddering at the clutch, unusual vibration in neutral, or an oil leak visible beneath the casing. These symptoms generally indicate advanced internal wear of the gears or synchros and justify replacement with a rebuilt gearbox.

Exchange basis: immediate delivery, return of the old unit after fitting

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the old unit is not collected before delivery. The rebuilt gearbox is dispatched first so that your garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road. Once the 6C1R-7002-KC gearbox has been fitted, the old gearbox — casing intact — must be returned; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This reconditioned gearbox is compatible with Ford Transit vehicles powered by the 2.2 TDCi engine bearing engine codes P8FA, QVFA, SRFA, CVRA, DRFF and UFFA.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
