This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Audi A3 fitted with the 1.5 TFSI engine of 1498 cm³ (engine codes DADA, DPCA); it carries reference TSM and replaces a worn or failing S tronic 7 gearbox. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: full strip-down, cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of all internal wear parts (gears, synchros, bearings and seals), reassembly to manufacturer tolerances, and bench testing prior to dispatch.

Signs that your S tronic 7 gearbox needs replacing

On this dual-clutch transmission, several warning signs should not be ignored: pronounced juddering during gear changes, slipping under acceleration, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, the gearbox dropping into limp-home mode, shuddering on pull-away or in slow-moving traffic, dull noises from the casing, or difficulty engaging reverse. These symptoms are generally indicative of advanced internal wear in the S tronic 7 gearbox.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reconditioned gearbox.

This gearbox is offered on an exchange basis, rebuilt to 0 km: it is dispatched before your old gearbox – casing or block intact – is collected. This means the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not left off the road waiting. The old unit is collected after delivery and fitting of the reconditioned gearbox; its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
