Reconditioned Renault Modus 1.5 dCi Gearbox – Reference JA5001

This reconditioned gearbox for the Renault Modus 1.5 dCi, compatible with the K9K engine (1461 cm³), carries the reference JA5001. It is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested on a bench. This gearbox is sold without the Quickshift actuator: the electronic actuator is neither reconditioned nor tested – the vehicle's original unit is retained and must be reused by the customer.

Signs that your automated gearbox needs replacing

On a Modus fitted with the Quickshift automated gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: pronounced juddering during gear changes, an abnormal delay between ratios, a gearbox or stop warning light illuminated on the dashboard, a sensation of slipping under acceleration, or a metallic noise in neutral. These symptoms generally indicate internal wear of the gears or synchros and justify replacing the gearbox, regardless of the condition of the actuator.

Exchange basis: delivery before return of the old unit

This reconditioned gearbox JA5001 is delivered first, before any collection of the old unit. The original casing or block, kept intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted, so that the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road any longer than necessary. Return of the old gearbox remains mandatory, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
