This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the SEAT Altea fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine (1968 cm³), compatible with engine codes BKD and CFHC, under reference LHD. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the gearbox is fully stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, and worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and subjected to a final bench test. Reference LHD guarantees strict compatibility with this 6-speed manual gearbox.
Signs that your 6-speed manual gearbox needs replacing
On the SEAT Altea, several warning signs point to a worn gearbox: difficulty or stiffness when changing from second to third gear, an audible crunch when downshifting, juddering on clutch release, unusual vibrations whilst driving, or a vague and imprecise neutral position. A metallic noise during gear changes or abnormal resistance on the gear lever are also common indicators on this type of diesel gearbox.
Exchange basis: delivery before return of the old unit
