This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox for the SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI (1390 cm³) corresponds to reference MPS and is compatible with vehicles fitted with engine codes CAVE, CTHE, and CTJC. Reconditioning follows a rigorous process: the gearbox is fully stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected to identify parts requiring replacement. Internal wear items such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as standard, and the dual-clutch assembly is included in the reconditioned unit supplied under reference MPS. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch to ensure it performs exactly as it did when new.

Signs that your DSG 7 gearbox needs replacing

On an Ibiza fitted with this transmission, several symptoms should alert the driver:

• Jerking or pronounced jolts during gear changes

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is neither reconditioned nor tested, it is not supplied or included in the sale, and the vehicle's original mechatronic unit must be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is fully integrated into the reconditioned gearbox delivered under reference MPS.

Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched before the old one is collected

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched to the garage first. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation of the new unit, so the workshop is never left without a gearbox and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. Return of the old gearbox remains mandatory, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
