This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Audi A1 fitted with the 1.4 TFSI engine (1390 cm³), paired with the S tronic 7 dual-clutch gearbox, reference MPS. It is compatible with engine codes CAXA, CAVG, CTHG, CZCA and CZEA. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and rigorous inspection of every internal component, replacement of gears, synchros, bearings and seals as required by the wear found, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing.

Signs that your S tronic 7 gearbox needs replacing

On an Audi A1 1.4 TFSI, a worn S tronic 7 gearbox typically makes itself known through juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, an automatic gearbox warning light on the dashboard, metallic noises or vibrations in position D or S, and an abnormally long response time between gear changes. A loss of power or the gearbox entering limp-home mode also indicates advanced internal wear.

Deferred exchange and return of the old unit

This reconditioned gearbox is supplied on a deferred exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, ensuring the garage is never left without a gearbox and avoiding any vehicle downtime. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is neither supplied nor included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reference MPS.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, with up to 10 instalments available.
