Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and a detailed inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts: gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
