Every reconditioned gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected before reassembly: gears, synchros, bearings and worn seals are replaced as required, and the unit is then rebuilt to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

On a Zafira fitted with this 5-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: stiff or crunching gear changes, juddering on the clutch, cracking noises in second or third gear, vibrations in neutral, or gears jumping out under acceleration. A grinding noise at idle or unusual resistance at the gear lever often points to internal wear of the gears or synchros, making gearbox replacement necessary.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
