It is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are then replaced before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested on a bench. The result is a JC7004 gearbox ready to go straight back into service with no compromise on reliability.
