This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Renault Trafic fitted with the 2.5 dCi engine (2463 cm³), compatible with engine codes G9U 630 and G9U 730, under reference PF6005. It lets you replace a worn 6-speed manual gearbox without the cost of a new unit, while restoring smooth, quiet gear changes. It fits directly to the vehicle in line with the original specifications for reference PF6005.
Signs that your gearbox needs replacing
On a Trafic 2.5 dCi, wear on the 6-speed manual gearbox typically shows up through a number of tell-tale symptoms:
- Stiff, jerky or grinding gear changes, particularly on second and third
- Crunching or metallic noises audible in neutral as well as on the move
- A gear jumping out on its own or refusing to engage fully
