Reconditioned DSG 6 Gearbox – Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI – Reference RVT

This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox is available for the Skoda Superb fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine (1968 cm³), compatible with engine codes BKP, CBBB, CFFB, CFGB, CLJA, CRLB and DFHA, reference RVT. The unit is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; internal wear components such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are then replaced as required, before being reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested on a bench. This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested, it is not supplied or included in the sale and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included and reconditioned along with the full mechanism, in accordance with reference RVT.

Signs that your DSG 6 gearbox needs replacing

On a Superb 2.0 TDI, several warning signs should be heeded before complete mechanical failure occurs: pronounced juddering during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, jerking in sequential manual mode, difficulty engaging reverse, or a metallic noise at idle when the clutch is engaged. A prolonged hesitation between two gears or a jolt felt when pulling away on a hill are also common signs of internal mechanical wear, and should be distinguished from a simple electronic fault.

Exchange basis: a gearbox available without delay

This reconditioned gearbox is dispatched before the old unit is collected: the garage receives the reconditioned gearbox first, ensuring the vehicle is never left immobilised on the ramp. The old gearbox – casing or block intact – is only collected after delivery and installation of reference RVT. Return of the old unit is nonetheless required, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions in force.
