Reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox for SEAT Leon 1.6 TDI – reference PYS

This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is available for SEAT Leon models fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine (1598 cm³), compatible with engine codes CAYC and CLHA, under reference PYS. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and inspection of every component; any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing signs of wear are replaced, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. The dual-clutch assembly, which is particularly sensitive to load variations, receives special attention during this process to ensure smooth operation from the moment the vehicle is back on the road.

Exchange basis: immediate delivery, return deferred

This reconditioned gearbox is dispatched immediately on an exchange basis: the old unit is not collected before delivery. The reconditioned unit is sent out first; the old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation of the reconditioned unit, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is never off the road unnecessarily. This arrangement allows the workshop to maintain its schedule and avoid any prolonged downtime for the customer's vehicle. Return of the old gearbox is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This DSG 7 gearbox, reference PYS, is suitable for vehicles fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine, engine codes CAYC and CLHA, with an engine capacity of 1598 cm³. It fits the diesel variants of the SEAT Leon range using these engine blocks.

Exclusion: mechatronic unit not included

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is not supplied or included in the sale, is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included and reconditioned as part of the gearbox.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is sold with a 12-month parts warranty, valid subject to fitting by a qualified professional. This warranty applies to the gearbox only. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
