This reconditioned gearbox is a direct replacement for the original 6-speed manual gearbox fitted to Dacia Duster models powered by the 1.5 dCi 1461 cm³ engine, compatible with engine codes K9K856, K9K858, K9K874, K9K894 and K9K898, under reference TL4361. Every TL4361 gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component before any work begins: gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing signs of wear are replaced, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch to ensure performance in line with the original specification. It is equally suited to urban driving and long motorway journeys – two conditions that place particularly heavy demands on the synchros and clutch on this model.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

Several warning signs should alert the driver of a Duster fitted with this manual gearbox: increasingly stiff gear changes, crunching in 2nd or 3rd, grinding when changing down, difficulty finding neutral, unusual vibrations under acceleration, or oil traces beneath the gearbox casing. These symptoms generally indicate internal wear to the gears or synchros and justify replacement with a reconditioned TL4361 gearbox rather than a partial repair.

Exchange Basis: Delivery Before Collection

This reconditioned gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle does not need to be kept on the ramp. The old gearbox – casing or block intact – is only collected after the TL4361 has been delivered and fitted to the vehicle. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
