This reconditioned DSG7 gearbox is designed to fit the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI, compatible with engine codes CAYB, CAYC, CLHA and CRKB, with an engine capacity of 1598 cm³, and referenced MPL. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested — it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer during fitting. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included as an integral part of the sale referenced MPL.
