Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, then reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing.

Once the MDM gearbox has been fitted to the Passat, the old gearbox – with its casing intact – must be returned; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
