Reconditioned Audi A3 1.6 TDI S tronic 7 Gearbox – Reference LST

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for Audi A3 models fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine (1598 cm³), compatible with engine codes CAYC, CLHA and CRKB. Reference LST corresponds to the S tronic 7 dual-clutch gearbox, an automated transmission widely used on this generation of A3. Every gearbox reconditioned under reference LST is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs that the S tronic 7 gearbox needs replacing

On an A3 1.6 TDI fitted with the S tronic 7, several symptoms point to internal wear: jerking or juddering during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, hesitation when manoeuvring at low speed, a gearbox warning light on the dashboard, metallic noise during gear changes, or a momentary loss of drive. These symptoms warrant a prompt inspection of the gearbox before a more serious failure leaves the vehicle off the road.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included and reconditioned as part of the LST unit.

Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first

This LST gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: the reconditioned gearbox is delivered first, before the old unit is collected. The workshop is therefore never left without a part and the vehicle is not kept off the road waiting. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the LST gearbox has been delivered and fitted. Its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned LST gearbox is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
