This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox is designed for Volkswagen Caddy models fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine (1968 cm³), compatible with engine codes BMM, CFHC and CUUD, under reference SFA. The reconditioning process follows a rigorous procedure: full strip-down of the unit, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts including gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch under reference SFA.

On a Caddy fitted with this dual-clutch transmission, several symptoms should put you on alert: pronounced juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, difficulty engaging gears from cold, unusual metallic noise in park or neutral, and a sensation of power loss to the wheels despite a constant engine speed. Exchange basis: keep your Caddy on the road

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched to you before your old unit is collected; your vehicle or workshop is therefore never left standing whilst awaiting a return. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation of the new SFA transmission; its return is mandatory, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned nor tested — it remains the original unit from your vehicle and must be reused as-is during fitting. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included as part of the reconditioning of this gearbox.

Warranty and payment
