This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox for the Volkswagen Transporter 2.0 TDI (1968 cm³) is supplied under reference NEY and is compatible with engines identified by the following engine codes: CAAA, CAAB, CAAC, CFCA, CXFA, CXGA, CXHA, DJKA. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test prior to dispatch.

Signs that your DSG 7 gearbox needs replacing

On a Transporter fitted with this dual-clutch gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, shuddering at low speed or when stationary, a gearbox warning light on the dashboard, difficulty engaging reverse, or an unusual metallic noise in position D.

This reconditioned gearbox, reference NEY, is dispatched immediately so your workshop is never left without a part. The old gearbox – casing intact – is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle does not need to be taken off the road during the process. Return of the old unit is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit, which is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included in the components overhauled as part of the reconditioning process.
