Peugeot 207 gearbox: models
The marque au lion has changed the engine sizes fitted to the 207, marketed between 2006 and 2015. At launch, it was available with a 1.4 HDi or 1.6 HDi diesel engine, and a 1.4 or 1.6 (i, VTI or THP) petrol engine.
Manual transmission models are equipped with a 5- or 6-speed gear box. This is the case with the Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI 5-speed gearbox. The 207 1.6 VTI is also available with a 4-speed AL4 automatic gearbox.
In 2007, the engines powering the 1.6i 75 hp and 1.6i 110 hp models were replaced by a 1.6 VTI engine. Then, in 2009, the Peugeot 207 1.6 HDi 92 hp and 1.6 HDi 112 hp replaced the 1.6 HDi 90 hp and 1.6 HDi 110 hp models respectively.
In 2012, the Peugeot 207 was replaced by the 208, while continuing its career under the name 207+. The new model has just two engines: 1.4i and 1.4 HDi. Its cabriolet versions are still available with a 1.6 VTI or HDi engine, and the station wagon with a 1.4i, 1.4 VTI or 1.6 HDi engine.
