Each listing matches a specific reference, linked to models, engine versions and engine codes. That match — not the make or the engine size on the logbook — is what determines whether a part fits your vehicle.

Gearboxes: manual, dual-clutch or automated manual

The same car can leave the factory with a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual or an automated transmission depending on power output, year and market. Dual-clutch gearboxes (DSG, S-tronic and equivalents) are supplied with a new dual clutch but without the mechatronic unit. Automated manual gearboxes (Quickshift, BMP6, SensoDrive, Easytronic…) are supplied without the actuator: the actuator from your old gearbox is refitted.

Engines: a bare block, identified by its code

Engines are supplied bare, without the ancillaries from your old engine, which are transferred during fitting. The reliable reference is the engine code stamped on the block (K9K, M9T, DV6, CAYC and their variants): two engines of the same size fitted to two similar models are not necessarily interchangeable.

Transfer cases: for four-wheel-drive vehicles

On 4x4s and all-wheel-drive vehicles, the transfer case splits torque between the front and rear axles. Compatibility depends on both the vehicle and the gearbox it is coupled to: the original part number remains the safest way to find it.

Exchange unit or rebuild of your own part

Depending on the reference, two supply options exist. As an exchange unit, you receive a part that has already been reconditioned and send back your old one. With a rebuild, your own part is restored and returned to you. The option available is shown on each listing.
