On Dacia models, a single 1.5 dCi can conceal six different K9K engine codes — and just as many mutually incompatible parts

This is the most common pitfall across the Dacia range: the 1.5 dCi comes in at least six engine code variants — K9K 612, K9K 626, K9K 792, K9K 856, K9K 874, K9K 898 — depending on power output (65, 68, 75, 90 hp), model year and the specific model (Duster, Sandero, Logan, Lodgy, Dokker). Identical engine capacity is not enough: a reconditioned gearbox or engine referenced for a K9K 856 is not compatible with a K9K 874, even on the same model just one year apart. Only the code stamped on the block or shown on the registration document allows you to identify the correct reference.

Three part families, each with its own identification logic

The Dacia collection covers three families: engines, gearboxes and turbos. Engines make up the largest part of the catalogue, with petrol units ranging from the D4F and K7M through to the H4B, H4D, H4M, H5F and 1.3 TCe, and diesels exclusively in K9K. On the petrol side, the H5F family alone spans several variants — H5F 400, 402, 403, 404, 408, 412 — corresponding to the 1.2 TCe in 115 and 125 hp outputs fitted to the Sandero, Logan or Duster depending on the year. Mixing up an H5F 402 with an H5F 404 is a common mistake that will compromise installation.

The gearboxes listed are all manual, in 5- or 6-speed versions depending on the engine and vehicle generation. The turbos available cover the most widely used dCi and TCe engines, in new or reconditioned form. For 4x4 Duster models, the presence of a transfer case must be verified separately: the Dacia catalogue on EDEN BOITES does not currently list any transfer cases, and specific enquiries should be directed to us.

Duster leads the way, but the Sandero and Lodgy carry the trickiest engine codes

The Duster accounts for the highest volume in the collection, followed by the Sandero and the Lodgy. It is, however, on the Lodgy and the Dokker — often used in demanding commercial contexts — that K9K engines reach their limits most quickly, particularly the 90 hp variants under load. The model years covered span from 2004 à 2026, which means that two generations of the same model may share no parts whatsoever. Before placing any order, the full engine code — not just the engine capacity or the stated power output — is the only reliable reference.

    Frequently asked questions

Are your Dacia parts compatible with my model?

We cover the vast majority of Dacia engines. To get the exact part, give us your number plate or request an online quote: our advisers confirm compatibility using your registration document.

    Are reconditioned Dacia parts reliable?

Yes. Every Dacia part is reconditioned in our workshop, with wear parts replaced, bench-tested and guaranteed for up to 24 months. A reliable and far more affordable alternative to new, starting from a restored original part.

How does the exchange system work for a Dacia part?

You order your reconditioned Dacia part, we dispatch it, then you send us back your old unit (the core). We arrange all the transport both ways — you don't have to handle any logistics.

Do you deliver Dacia parts everywhere, and how quickly?

Yes, we deliver throughout France and Europe. Depending on the availability of the reference, your Dacia part leaves our workshop quickly, and you can pay in instalments, up to 10 payments.
