On the Citroën C4 fitted with the 1.6 HDi diesel engine, a turbo nearing the end of its life often makes itself known through a loss of power under acceleration, an unusual whistling noise from under the bonnet, blue or black exhaust smoke, and an engine warning light that may sometimes trigger a limp-home mode. Abnormal oil consumption or noticeable play in the turbo shaft are further warning signs that should not be ignored, as they typically precede complete turbocharger failure.

This new turbo is compatible with reference 762328-5003S and has been designed to fit the Citroën C4 with the 1.6 HDi engine, producing 110 or 112 hp depending on the version. It is a key component of the intake system, responsible for optimising diesel engine efficiency whilst keeping exhaust emissions in check.

This turbo is suitable for Citroën C4 models fitted with the diesel units known as DV6C and DV6TED4, with an engine capacity of 1560 cm³. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on the identification plate of the old turbo to confirm an exact match with your vehicle.

Exchange and warranty

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road unnecessarily. A 12-month parts warranty applies, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before fitting on your C4

Before installing this turbo, it is essential to check the oil circuit (hoses, feed and return lines), ensure the air intake is clean, and inspect the condition of the intercooler to avoid any contamination of the new component. A full oil change using a suitable high-quality oil, along with a clean air filter, will help extend the life of the turbo. When starting the engine for the first time after fitting, the turbocharger must be primed with oil to ensure the bearings are lubricated immediately from the moment the engine starts.
