Advice before fitting on a 208 1.6 THP
Before fitting this new turbo to your 208, check the condition of the oil circuit (hoses and return line), as insufficient lubrication is one of the most common causes of failure on this type of turbocharged engine. Also check the condition of the air filter and intercooler, and ensure there are no air intake leaks, to avoid premature contamination of the new turbo. When starting the engine for the first time, priming the oil supply is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start. Allowing the engine to warm up gradually before driving hard will prevent the turbo from being stressed while still cold.
