Reconditioned Ford Ranger 2.2 TDCi Gearbox

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Ford Ranger fitted with the 2.2 TDCi engine, engine capacity 2198 cm³, engine code QJ2R. It carries reference AB3R-7003-BD and is a direct replacement for the 6-speed manual gearbox fitted as standard to the pick-up.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a Ranger used under load or off-road, several warning signs point to advanced wear of the manual gearbox:

• Stiff or resistant gear changes, particularly into 2nd or 3rd
• Crunching or grinding when engaging a gear
• Jumping out of neutral on tracks or on hills

Under the exchange scheme, the old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched to the garage first, and the old gearbox — casing intact — is only collected after delivery and installation of the new unit, so the workshop is never left without a gearbox. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the transfer case: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer.
