Revving the engine hard immediately after a cold start, without allowing time for the oil to circulate, also accelerates bearing wear. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (hoses, return line), the condition of the air intake, and ensure there are no metal particles in the intake tract. When starting up for the first time, prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.
