A new turbo built for everyday use in the Fiat 500L
The Fiat 500L is frequently used for urban journeys interspersed with road trips, often carrying heavier loads thanks to its family-oriented design and generous boot. This kind of use — with frequent acceleration in town and more sustained revving on faster roads — puts considerable strain on the turbocharger of the 0.9 TwinAir engine. A new turbo restores the correct boost pressure and prevents the power loss felt during overtaking or when driving under load.
Compatibility with Fiat 500L engines
This new turbo is compatible with Fiat 500L models fitted with the 0.9 TwinAir 105 ch engine as well as the 0.9 Natural Power 86 ch version, corresponding to engine codes 199 B6.000, 199 B7.000, 312 A2.000 and 312 A7.000. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the reference printed on your old turbo or on your vehicle's engine plate to ensure perfect compatibility with your Fiat 500L.
Exchange basis and warranty on this new turbo
This new turbo for the Fiat 500L is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road unnecessarily. This product comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Tips for looking after your new turbo on the 500L
On the 500L's TwinAir engine, the majority of premature turbo failures are caused by lubrication issues: poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged oil filter. A dirty air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt turbo operation and accelerate wear. Driving aggressively from a cold start is another common cause of turbine damage.
- Check the condition of the oil circuit and the cleanliness of the hoses before fitting
- Inspect the air intake and ensure there are no leaks in the intake circuit
- Prime the turbo with oil before starting the engine for the first time
- Allow the engine to warm up gently before putting it under any significant load
