Identifying the correct turbo reference for your Ford Transit
Before placing any order, it is essential to check the reference number on the identification plate of your original turbo, as several variants may have been fitted to the Ford Transit depending on the version and year of production. This new turbo is compatible with the main reference 802419-5008S, as well as all equivalent references listed further below, whether Ford manufacturer references or turbo manufacturer references.
Engine fitment on the Ford Transit
This new turbo is intended for Ford Transit vehicles fitted with the 1.8 TDCi 90 diesel engine, with an engine capacity of 1753 cm³. The engine codes associated with this engine are HCPA, HCPB, HCPC, HCPD and P9PA. Before confirming your order, always compare the reference shown on your old turbo with those listed on this page to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.
Exchange and warranty for your Transit
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The return only takes place after delivery and fitting of the new turbo, so your Ford Transit remains operational without any additional downtime. The part is covered by a 12-month warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting on a 1.8 TDCi engine
On a 1.8 TDCi, premature turbo failure is often caused by a lubrication fault linked to poor-quality engine oil, servicing intervals that have not been observed, or a clogged air filter disrupting the intake. Before fitting the new turbo to your Transit, carefully inspect the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the air intake to rule out any risk of contamination. Also prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up, to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and to maximise the longevity of the part.
