The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the turbo on your Série 1
Before installing the new turbo on your 116d or 118d, carefully check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the feed and return hoses, and that there are no blockages on the air intake or intercooler. On these N47 engines, the most common causes of turbo failure are related to inadequate lubrication, oil of unsuitable quality, or oil that has not been changed at the recommended intervals, as well as a clogged air filter. Driving too hard during the warm-up phase, without allowing the engine to reach operating temperature gradually, also accelerates wear. When starting up the new turbo for the first time, make sure to prime it with oil before the initial start to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and extend the service life of the part.
