The turbo built for everyday use in the Audi A4 2.0 TDI 170 ch
The Audi A4 fitted with the 2.0 TDI 170 ch engine is frequently used for long road and motorway journeys as well as stop-start urban driving. This constant variation in engine load places considerable strain on the turbocharger, particularly during sustained acceleration or when pulling away after extended idling. On this type of saloon, often driven long distances with a heavy load, the turbo must respond efficiently without suffering thermal shock or oil pressure loss — two factors that accelerate premature wear.
Compatibility with A4 engines
This reconditioned turbo is compatible with reference 53039880138, intended for Audi A4 models fitted with the 2.0 TDI 170 ch engine, engine code CAHA. Before placing an order, please check the reference number on your existing turbo, as several turbo variants may have been fitted to this engine depending on the production period.
Exchange basis and warranty on this A4 turbo
This reconditioned turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Audi A4 is never left off the road. A 12-month parts warranty applies, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
Advice before fitting to your A4
On the 2.0 TDI 170 ch engine, the most common causes of turbo failure are inadequate lubrication, poor-quality oil or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter or a damaged intercooler allowing contaminants through. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (clean hoses and pipes, no blockages), the condition of the intake hoses and the air intake. When starting up for the first time, prime the turbo with oil before the initial start to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and prevent any dry running.
Payment
You can pay for your order in instalments — pay in up to 10 instalments to spread the cost.
