This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the SEAT Leon fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine of 1968 cm³, compatible with engine codes BKD, BMM, BMN and CFHC. It is a 6-speed manual gearbox, referenced PFL, fully rebuilt to a strict reconditioning process before being returned to service.
Reconditioning begins with a complete strip-down of the unit, followed by thorough cleaning and inspection of every component. Internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are systematically replaced. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested to confirm correct operation before dispatch.
Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing
- Stiff or crunching gear changes, particularly into second or fifth
- Crunching or grinding noises with the clutch depressed
- A gear jumping out on its own whilst driving
- Difficulty finding neutral, or abnormal vibration through the gear lever
- Unusual metallic noise at idle with the gearbox in neutral
Exchange Basis: Delivery Without Vehicle Downtime
This gearbox, rebuilt to 0 km, is delivered in advance: the garage receives the reconditioned PFL unit and fits it straight away without any waiting. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and installation of the new unit, so the vehicle is never off the road any longer than necessary. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
