A 6-speed manual gearbox, it undergoes a full reconditioning process before being returned to service. The casing is completely stripped down and cleaned, then every component is inspected; any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing wear are replaced, and the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
