Reconditioned Volkswagen Scirocco 1.2 TSI Gearbox – Reference RKC
This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Scirocco 1.2 TSI (engine code CBZB, 1197 cm³) carries reference RKC and is a direct replacement for a failed original 6-speed manual gearbox. The reconditioning process involves a full strip-down, cleaning and inspection of every internal component, replacement of all wear parts — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals — followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a final bench test.
Signs that your gearbox needs replacing
- Stiff or notchy gear changes, particularly on second or third
- Crunching or metallic grinding when changing gear
- A gear jumping out on its own whilst driving
- Unusual vibrations in neutral or on the move
- Visible gearbox oil leak underneath the vehicle
- Gear lever that judders or resists in neutral
Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched before your old one is returned
This RKC gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched as soon as your order is confirmed, without waiting for the return of your old gearbox. The original casing or block, provided it is intact, is only collected after the reconditioned gearbox has been delivered and fitted — so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Compatibility
This reconditioned gearbox, reference RKC, is compatible with Volkswagen Scirocco models fitted with the 1.2 TSI engine, engine code CBZB, with an engine capacity of 1197 cm³. The reference RKC must be verified before ordering to confirm an exact match with your vehicle.
Warranty and payment
This gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
EDEN BOITES supports you every step of the way, from your initial quote through to collection of the old unit.
