What a healthy turbo does for your Peugeot 2008
On a Peugeot 2008 fitted with the 1.5 BlueHDi engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: crisper pick-up from low revs, smooth linear acceleration and a stable idle. A worn turbo, by contrast, shows up as a noticeable loss of power on hills or under load, an unusual whistling noise, heavier exhaust smoke or excessive oil consumption. Fitting a new turbo restores the original driving feel to this urban SUV, particularly when overtaking or on motorway runs.
Compatibility with Peugeot 2008 engines
This new turbo is compatible with reference 49S72-03100 and fits Peugeot 2008 models powered by the 1.5 BlueHDi engine, available in several power outputs. The units concerned carry engine codes DV5RD and DV5RE. Before ordering, please check the reference on your old turbo or on the vehicle's registration document, as several turbo variants may exist depending on the year of manufacture and trim level.

Exchange basis and warranty
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, the old turbo must be returned, but it is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted, so your 2008 is never left off the road unnecessarily. The part is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting and maintenance advice for the 1.5 BlueHDi
On this engine, most turbo failures stem from inadequate lubrication caused by infrequent oil changes or poor-quality oil, a clogged air filter, or a poorly maintained intake system. Before fitting, check the oil circuit (hoses and return pipe), the cleanliness of the intercooler and the condition of the air intake to avoid contaminating the new turbo. When starting up for the first time, prime the oil circuit before the initial start, and drive gently for the first few kilometres to protect the service life of the part.
