Signs of a failing turbo on your Renault Master 1.9 dCi
On a Renault Master fitted with the F9Q engine in 1.9 dCi, a turbocharger that is nearing the end of its life often makes itself known through a loss of power under acceleration – particularly noticeable when loaded or climbing a hill, given the commercial use of this vehicle. Other warning signs to watch out for include: an unusual whistling noise from the engine bay, abnormal exhaust smoke (blue or black), rising oil consumption with no visible leak, or the appearance of an engine warning light accompanied by a boost pressure fault code. These symptoms generally point to worn bearings, excessive turbine play or a turbo seal failure, and call for prompt diagnosis to avoid damaging the engine.
New turbo compatible with reference 751768-5005S for Master 1.9 dCi
This new turbo is compatible with reference 751768-5005S, intended for Renault Master vehicles fitted with the 1.9 dCi engine – in particular the 82 hp and 100/102 hp versions equipped with the F9Q engine. Before placing an order, it is recommended that you check the reference printed on the old turbo or on your Master's engine plate, as certain variants of the F9Q may take different turbos depending on the power output and production period.
Warranty and delivery for this Master turbo
This new turbo is sold as a straightforward purchase: it is a new part delivered directly, with nothing to return. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting the turbo on your Master 1.9 dCi
On an F9Q engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by a lubrication problem: poor-quality oil, missed service intervals or a clogged oil filter all accelerate bearing wear. A blocked air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt air intake and put the turbo under strain. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit (feed and return hoses, cleanliness of the oil galleries), the condition of the intake hoses and the air intake. When starting up for the first time, remember to prime the turbo with oil before the initial start to ensure immediate bearing lubrication.
