A new turbo built for the demanding use of the IVECO Daily II
The IVECO Daily II 2.8 TD is a light commercial vehicle designed for long professional journeys, frequently running at full load in both urban and road conditions. This regular use, combined with frequent stop-start delivery cycles, puts the turbocharger under considerable strain: repeated pressure spikes, fluctuating loads and significant thermal stress gradually weaken the internal components. This new turbo has been selected to deliver reliable, lasting performance to match this demanding usage profile.
Compatibility with Daily II engines
This new turbo is compatible with IVECO Daily II vehicles fitted with the 2.8 TD diesel engine of 2798 cm³, producing 103 hp or 122 hp, identified under engine code 8140.23. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference on the old turbo or on the engine plate, as certain fitment variants may exist depending on the body type and year of manufacture of the vehicle.
Exchange basis and warranty
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so that the vehicle is not left off the road. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before and after fitting
On an 8140.23 engine, turbo failure is very often caused by a lubrication fault: poor-quality engine oil, missed oil changes or a blocked oil filter all accelerate bearing wear. A clogged air filter or a damaged intercooler can also disrupt turbo operation and shorten its service life. Before fitting, the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake should all be checked. When starting the engine for the first time, priming the turbo with oil is essential to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.
