What changes behind the wheel of your Kia Ceed with a healthy turbo
On a Kia Ceed fitted with the 1.6 CRDi engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: throttle response is sharper from low revs, power builds smoothly without hesitation, and there is no whistling or smoke on acceleration. A worn turbo, by contrast, shows up as a loss of power, an engine warning light, blue or black exhaust smoke, and sometimes increased fuel consumption. Replacing the turbo with a new unit restores the original driving feel – essential whether you use the car every day or on longer journeys.
Compatibility of the new turbo with the Kia Ceed 1.6 CRDi
This new turbo is compatible with reference 775274-5002S, used on several versions of the Kia Ceed fitted with the 1.6 CRDi diesel engine (engine code D4FB, engine capacity 1582 cm³), across power outputs of 110, 115 or 128 hp depending on the version. Before placing an order, please check the reference printed on your old turbo or on your vehicle registration document to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.
Exchange basis and warranty on this Kia Ceed turbo
This turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of your old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Kia Ceed is not left off the road during the process. This new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the turbo on your Kia Ceed 1.6 CRDi
The service life of a turbo on a D4FB engine depends heavily on the quality and regularity of oil changes, as degraded oil or a clogged oil filter accelerates bearing wear. A dirty air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt turbo operation and cause premature failure. Before fitting, it is recommended to check the condition of the oil circuit, hoses and air intake, then to prime the turbo with oil before starting the engine for the first time, to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings.
