A diesel SX4 from 2013 to 2016 typically came with a BVM6, while the petrol version used either a BVM5 or a CVT gearbox. From 2016, a facelift saw the BVM5 largely phased out: the 1.0 L 111 hp engine offered a BVA6 as an option, and the 1.4 petrol 140 hp and 1.6 diesel 120 hp units received either a BVM5 or, optionally, a BVA6.
