This turbo is intended for the 1.6 Cooper D 110 ch engine variant, fitted with the 9HZ (DV6TED4) engine, with an engine capacity of 1560 cm3 and running on diesel. Before placing an order, we strongly recommend checking the reference printed on the old turbo removed from the vehicle, to confirm exact compatibility with your MINI Cooper.
Exchange basis and warranty for the MINI Cooper
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, but it is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted, so your MINI Cooper is not left off the road. It carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the 1.6 Cooper D engine
On this engine, turbo failure is very often caused by insufficient lubrication, unsuitable oil quality or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter or a cracked intercooler allowing contaminants through. Before fitting, carefully check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. On first start-up, priming the turbo with oil is recommended to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.
