Not sure you've found the right part?
What changes when you drive your Ford C-Max with a new turbo
On a C-Max 1.6 TDCi, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt from the very first metres: mid-range response becomes crisp again out of roundabouts, the flat spot between 1500 and 2500 rpm disappears, and the engine regains its flexibility under load – whether you have passengers on board or you're on a motorway run. A new turbo compatible with reference 753420-5006S restores that smooth, consistent boost with no hesitation, no excessive exhaust smoke, and none of that unusual whistling that so often betrays a worn turbine.
Compatibility with Ford C-Max engines
This new turbo is designed for Ford C-Max models fitted with the 1.6 TDCi 90 hp, 101 hp and 110 hp engines, associated in particular with engine codes G8DA, G8DB, G8DC, HHDA, HHDB and MTDA. Before placing an order, it is recommended that you check the reference printed on the old turbo or on the vehicle's number plate to confirm an exact match with your C-Max.
Warranty and delivery of the Ford C-Max turbo
This turbo is new and sold as a straightforward purchase: no old unit to return, no collection of the old turbo – just a single delivery. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before and after fitting on a 1.6 TDCi engine
On these 1.6 TDCi engines, turbo failure is often caused by inadequate lubrication – the result of infrequent oil changes, the wrong grade of oil, or a clogged air filter. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the intake and exhaust hoses and the air intake, and make sure the intercooler is not punctured. After installation, prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate lubrication.
